How to Use

Dosage

One tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food. Do not split or crush the tablets.

Important

One 97 mg/103 mg tablet twice daily (target dose for adults).

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • low blood pressure (may cause dizziness and faintness)
  • high potassium levels in blood (seen in blood tests)
  • worsening kidney function
  • cough
  • dizziness
  • diarrhea
  • reduced red blood cell count (anemia, seen in blood tests)
  • tiredness
  • sudden kidney malfunction (acute kidney failure)
  • low potassium levels in blood (seen in blood tests)
  • headache
  • fainting
  • weakness
  • nausea
  • dizziness or fainting when standing up from sitting or lying down
  • stomach pain and nausea (gastritis)
  • spinning sensation
  • low blood sugar (seen in blood tests)
RARE
  • allergic skin reaction (rash, itching)
  • postural dizziness (dizziness when standing up)
  • low sodium levels in blood (seen in blood tests)
  • seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not real (hallucinations)
  • sleep disturbances
  • paranoia
  • intestinal swelling (angioedema), with symptoms like stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
  • involuntary muscle twitching (myoclonus)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sacubitril, valsartan, or any other ingredients of this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are also taking another medicine called an ACE inhibitor. Wait 36 hours after your last ACE inhibitor dose before starting this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat (angioedema), which made it difficult to breathe.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have severe liver disease.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, especially after the first three months of pregnancy.
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you experience swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing. These can be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
