How to Use
Dosage
The usual dose for adults and children over 40 kg is 150 mg twice a day (every 12 hours) or 300 mg once a day. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Method
Take the tablets on an empty stomach, at least 15 minutes before a meal with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Important
The maximum daily dose is 300 mg unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Headache, dizziness.
- •Nausea, abdominal pain.
- •Diarrhea, vomiting.
- •Rash.
RARE
- •Increased number of white blood cells.
- •Ringing in the ears.
- •Hives, erythema multiforme.
Important Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you have low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood.
- Tell your doctor if you have a very slow heart rate and a tendency to faint.
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
- Tell your doctor if you have liver problems.
