How to Use
Dosage
For adults, the usual dose is between 5 and 200 MBq (megabecquerel, a unit used to measure radioactivity).
Method
After preparation, ROTOP-NanoHSA 0.5 mg is injected under your skin at one or more spots. It is not for regular or continuous use.
Important
Your doctor will determine the maximum dose needed for your specific test. It will be the lowest amount required to get the necessary information.
Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Mild and temporary allergic reactions.
- •Local reactions at the injection site or on the skin (e.g., rash, itching).
- •Dizziness.
- •Drop in blood pressure.
- •Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), which can be life-threatening.
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to human albumin nanocolloid or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use during pregnancy, especially if you need a lymph scan of the pelvic area.
- It is not recommended if your lymphatic vessels are completely blocked, as there is a risk of tissue damage at the injection site.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
- Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease.
