How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day, as prescribed by your doctor.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can take it at any time of day, with or without food. Try to take your medicine at the same time each day. Continue your diet and exercise program.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is one tablet.

  • Blood in urine
  • Nerve damage in arms and legs (e.g., numbness)
  • Memory loss
  • Male breast enlargement (gynecomastia)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sleep disturbances (including insomnia and nightmares)
  • Sexual problems
  • Depression
  • Breathing problems (including persistent cough and/or shortness of breath or fever)
  • Tendon injuries
  • Gallstones or gallbladder inflammation (can cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting)
  • Myasthenia gravis (general muscle weakness, sometimes including breathing muscles)
  • Ocular myasthenia (eye muscle weakness)
  • Double vision
  • Drooping eyelids
  • Difficulty swallowing

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to rosuvastatin, ezetimibe, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have liver disease or severely impaired kidney function.
  • Do not take if you have repeated, unexplained muscle aches or pains.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception during treatment.
  • Stop taking and seek immediate medical help if you experience swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or if you develop severe skin rashes, blisters, or peeling skin (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome).

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you have unusual muscle aches or pains that last longer than expected. These could be signs of life-threatening muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis).

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Possible adverse effects include muscle pain and muscular weakness. Concurrent use of aluminium and magnesium reduces the effectiveness of the drug,. Consider potential interactions.
