How to Use

Dosage

One tablet.

Method

Take orally once a day, whole with water, with or without food. Take at the same time every day.

Important

One tablet once daily.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain
  • Constipation
  • Nausea
  • Muscle pain
  • Fatigue or weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Increased protein in urine (usually temporary)
  • Diabetes (more likely if you have high blood sugar/fat, are overweight, or have high blood pressure)
  • Increased liver enzyme levels in blood tests
  • Diarrhoea
  • Flatulence
RARE
  • Skin reactions like rash, itching, or hives.
  • Tingling sensation
  • Nerve damage (numbness in arms or legs)
  • Memory loss
  • Dry mouth
  • Back pain
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle cramps
  • Neck pain
  • Swelling, especially in hands and feet
  • Cough
  • Breathing difficulties (e.g., persistent cough, shortness of breath, fever)
  • Indigestion or heartburn
  • Decreased appetite
  • Chest pain
  • Hot flashes
  • High blood pressure
  • Severe abdominal pain (pancreatitis)
  • Reduced blood cell count (may cause bruising or bleeding)
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis)
  • Small amounts of blood in urine
  • Breast enlargement in men (gynecomastia)
  • Sleep problems (insomnia, nightmares)
  • Sexual problems
  • Depression
  • Tendon damage

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to rosuvastatin, ezetimibe, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant, stop immediately and tell your doctor. Women must use birth control.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease or severe kidney disease.
  • Do not take if you are using medicines for Hepatitis C (sofosbuvir, velpatasvir, voxilaprevir) or ciclosporin (used after organ transplants).
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you have unusual muscle pain or weakness that lasts a long time, especially if you also feel unwell or have a fever. This could be a sign of severe muscle damage.

  • Stop taking this medicine and seek medical help right away if you get a severe allergic reaction (swelling of face/lips/tongue, trouble breathing, severe itching) or severe skin reactions (rash, blisters, peeling skin, mouth sores, fever).
  • Do not take this medicine if you have used fusidic acid (for bacterial infections) in the last 7 days, as it can cause severe muscle problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had myasthenia (muscle weakness, including eye or breathing muscles), as statins can worsen it.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Possible adverse effects include muscle pain and muscular weakness. Concurrent use of aluminium and magnesium reduces the effectiveness of the drug,. Consider potential interactions.
