How to Use

Dosage

Apply 1 ml of the solution to the thinning area of your scalp twice a day.

Method

Gently rub the solution into your scalp with your fingertips.

Important

Do not use more than 2 ml of Rogaine solution in a single day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON

  • hypersensitivity (general redness, itching, facial swelling, throat tightness)
  • depressed mood
  • allergic contact dermatitis
  • eye irritation
  • low blood pressure
  • vomiting
  • temporary hair loss
  • changes in hair color and/or texture
  • application site reactions including itching, irritation, pain, rash, swelling, dry skin, and redness of scalp, ears, or face. Sometimes these reactions can be more severe, including peeling skin, inflammation, blistering, bleeding, and open sores.

Important Warnings

  • Stop using Rogaine and talk to your doctor right away if you get low blood pressure, chest pain, a fast heartbeat, dizziness, sudden weight gain, swollen hands or feet, constant scalp redness or irritation, or any other new, unexpected symptoms.
  • Rogaine is flammable. Do not use it while smoking or near open flames.
  • Do not breathe in the Rogaine spray.
  • Swallowing Rogaine solution is dangerous and can harm your heart and blood vessels.
  • Be careful not to get Rogaine in your eyes, mouth, or on broken skin. If it happens, rinse the area well with cool running water.

  • Do not use Rogaine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.
  • Rogaine can cause dizziness and low blood pressure. Do not drive or use machines if you feel these effects.
  • Do not use Rogaine if you are allergic to minoxidil or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use Rogaine if your scalp is inflamed, infected, irritated, or sore (e.g., from severe sunburn or a skin rash).
