How to Use

Dosage

A healthcare professional will give you this medicine as an injection into a vein. The typical dose for adults is 0.5 to 2 ml. For children, the dose is based on their body weight, typically 0.02 ml per kg.

Method

The medicine is given slowly into a vein over 10 to 30 seconds.

Important

You should not receive more than 2 ml of this medicine in total.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Sudden swelling of your face, lips, or throat, making it hard to swallow or breathe.
  • A severe skin rash, itching, hives, or sudden dizziness.
  • Seizures (fits), losing consciousness, or serious trouble breathing.
COMMON
  • Dry mouth.
  • Sweating (more or less than usual).
  • More spit than usual.
  • Feeling sick (nausea) or throwing up (vomiting).
  • Stomach or bowel issues like diarrhea, stomach cramps, or constipation.
  • Slow or irregular heartbeat.
  • Feeling dizzy or a headache.
  • Feeling sleepy.
  • Vision problems, like blurry vision or small pupils.
  • Difficulty peeing (urinating).
  • Chest pain.
  • Airway spasms (tightness in your chest or throat).
  • Skin rash.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to glycopyrronium bromide, neostigmine methylsulfate, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have a blockage in your stomach, intestines, or bladder.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are also taking suxamethonium (another muscle relaxing medicine).
  • Tell your doctor if you have asthma or difficulty breathing due to narrow airways.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart problems like a very slow or irregular heartbeat, high or low blood pressure, or heart failure.

  • Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma (high pressure in your eyes).
  • Tell your doctor if you have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism).
  • Tell your doctor if you have epilepsy, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), Parkinson's disease, or a fever.
  • This medicine can cause severe irregular heartbeats during anesthesia.
