How to Use

Dosage

One Rivaroxaban Grindeks 10 mg tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can take it with or without food. If you have trouble swallowing, you can crush the tablet and mix it with water or applesauce.

Important

Do not take more than one 20 mg tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Decrease in red blood cells, which can cause pale skin, weakness, or shortness of breath.
  • Bleeding from the stomach, intestines, urinary tract, vagina (including blood in urine, heavy periods), nose, or gums. Bleeding in the eye.
  • Bleeding into tissues or body cavities (bruising).
  • Coughing up blood, bleeding from or under the skin, bleeding after surgery, or blood/fluid leakage from a surgical wound.
  • Swelling in limbs or limb pain.
  • Kidney problems (can be seen in doctor's tests).
  • Fever.
  • Stomach pain, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea.
  • Low blood pressure (may cause dizziness or fainting when standing up).
  • General weakness or tiredness, headache, dizziness, rash, itchy skin.
  • Blood tests may show increased levels of certain liver enzymes.
RARE
  • Bleeding in the brain or inside the head. Bleeding into a joint causing pain and swelling.
  • Low platelet count (fewer blood cells that help blood clot).
  • Allergic reactions, including skin allergies. Severe allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, trouble swallowing, hives, and difficulty breathing, sudden drop in blood pressure).
  • Liver problems (can be seen in doctor's tests). Blood tests may show increased bilirubin, pancreatic or liver enzymes. Blocked bile flow or liver inflammation (liver damage), yellowing of skin and eyes.
  • Fainting, feeling unwell, fast heartbeat, dry mouth, hives. Muscle bleeding. Localized swelling. Blood collection in the groin (a complication after a heart procedure).
  • Eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) accumulating in the lungs (lung inflammation). Kidney failure after severe bleeding. Bleeding in the kidney, sometimes with blood in the urine, leading to kidney not working properly. Increased pressure in leg or arm muscles after bleeding, causing pain, swelling, altered sensation, numbness, or paralysis (compartment syndrome).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to rivaroxaban or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have active bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a condition that increases your risk of severe bleeding, such as a stomach ulcer, brain bleeding, or recent brain or eye surgery.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are taking other medicines to prevent blood clotting (e.g., warfarin, dabigatran, apixaban, or heparin), unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so for a medication change or catheter flush.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a liver disease that increases your risk of bleeding.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception if you can become pregnant.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness or fainting. Do not drive or use machines if you experience these symptoms.
