How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual starting dose is 2 mg per day, which may be increased to 4 mg per day on the second day. Most adults feel best with a daily dose of 4-6 mg.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a small amount of water. You can take this medicine with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults is generally 6 mg. Always follow your doctor's specific instructions.

RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face/throat or difficulty breathing
  • Symptoms of stroke (sudden weakness, slurred speech)
  • Blood clots (pain/swelling in leg, chest pain, difficulty breathing)
  • High fever with stiff muscles, sweating, and confusion
  • Prolonged and painful erection
  • Diabetes or very high blood sugar
  • Seizures or fainting
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
  • Serious skin reactions (blisters, peeling skin)

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor if you have heart problems like an irregular heartbeat or low blood pressure, or if you take medicine for blood pressure, as Risperidone Grindeks can lower your blood pressure.
  • Inform your doctor if you have risk factors for a stroke, such as high blood pressure or heart disease, especially if you are an older person with dementia.
  • Contact your doctor if you have involuntary movements of your tongue, mouth, or face.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you develop a high fever, stiff muscles, sweating, or confusion, as these can be signs of a serious condition.
  • Let your doctor know if you have diabetes, high blood sugar, or experience significant weight gain.
