Risperdal Consta is a medicine for schizophrenia that helps ease symptoms like hallucinations and delusions, and stops them from coming back.
The usual dose is 25 mg given as an injection every two weeks, but your doctor may decide you need a higher dose of 37.5 mg or 50 mg.
Risperdal Consta is given as an injection into a muscle in your arm or buttock every two weeks by a nurse or doctor, and should not be given into a vein.
