How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose is 2 sprays into each nostril, 2–3 times a day.

Method

Blow your nose before use. Remove the cap. If using for the first time, spray into the air until you get an even spray. Place the tip of the bottle into one nostril and spray once. Repeat for the other nostril. Breathe in gently through your nose after spraying. Replace the cap.

Important

No more than 3 times a day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Nosebleed
  • Dryness in the nose
  • Sore throat
  • Uncomfortable feeling in the nose
RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions (like anaphylactic shock, swelling of face, lips, or tongue)
  • Dizziness
  • Eye problems (such as blurred vision, eye pain, seeing halos, or increased pressure in the eye, and difficulty focusing)
  • Heart rhythm changes (like a fast pulse, irregular heartbeat, or feeling your heart beat strongly)
  • Dry mouth or throat
  • Chest tightness, coughing, wheezing, or feeling short of breath right after using the spray
  • Swelling or tightening in the throat
  • Nausea (feeling sick to your stomach)
  • Stomach problems or mouth sores
  • Skin rash or swelling
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Hives (itchy red welts on the skin)
  • Itching

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ipratropium bromide, atropine, similar substances, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Be careful if you have an enlarged prostate, narrowed urinary tract, or narrow-angle glaucoma (a type of eye disease).
  • Do not let the spray get into your eyes. If it does, rinse your eyes immediately with plenty of cold water. Contact a doctor if eye symptoms continue or worsen.
  • This medicine can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, and severe breathing problems. Seek immediate medical help if you experience these symptoms.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
