Revastad contains sildenafil, which helps treat pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) in adults and children by widening the blood vessels in the lungs.
Adults and children weighing over 20 kg: 20 mg (1 tablet) three times a day. Children weighing under 20 kg: 10 mg three times a day.
Take doses 6–8 hours apart, with or without food.
Adults and children weighing over 20 kg: Max 20 mg three times a day (total 60 mg). Children weighing under 20 kg: Max 10 mg three times a day (total 30 mg).
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider potential interactions especially with nitrates. (updated 25.11.2024)
