How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children weighing over 20 kg: 20 mg (1 tablet) three times a day. Children weighing under 20 kg: 10 mg three times a day.

Method

Take doses 6–8 hours apart, with or without food.

Important

Adults and children weighing over 20 kg: Max 20 mg three times a day (total 60 mg). Children weighing under 20 kg: Max 10 mg three times a day (total 30 mg).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to sildenafil or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are using medicines containing nitrates or nitric oxide donors (like for chest pain).
  • Do not take if you are using riociguat (another medicine for high blood pressure in the lungs).
  • Do not take if you recently had a stroke, heart attack, have severe liver disease, or very low blood pressure (< 90/50 mmHg).
  • Stop taking Revastad and contact a doctor immediately if your vision suddenly gets worse or you lose it, or if you get an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours.

  • Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking Revastad.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Revastad contains lactose. Talk to your doctor if you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider potential interactions especially with nitrates. (updated 25.11.2024)
