How to Use
Dosage
Start with 2 mg once daily for the first week. Your doctor may then increase the dose to 4 mg from the second week onwards and adjust it as needed.
Method
Take the tablet whole with water once a day at the same time each day. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
Important
The maximum dose is 24 mg per day.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Fainting
- •Drowsiness

- •Sudden sleep attacks (falling asleep suddenly without warning)
- •Hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not real)
- •Vomiting
- •Dizziness
- •Heartburn

RARE
- •Dizziness or faintness, especially when standing up quickly (due to low blood pressure)
- •Low blood pressure
- •Extreme daytime sleepiness (feeling very drowsy during the day)
- •Mental side effects, such as severe confusion (delirium), false beliefs (delusions), or extreme suspicion (paranoia)
- •Hiccups
Important Warnings
- Do not take Requip Depot if you are allergic to ropinirole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years old.
- Tell your doctor if you have severe heart problems or serious mental health issues.
- Tell your doctor if you have lactose intolerance or cannot tolerate certain sugars.

- This medicine can cause extreme drowsiness, sudden sleep attacks, and hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there). Do not drive or use machines if you experience these symptoms.
- Tell your doctor if you notice unusual urges or behaviors, such as gambling addiction, compulsive shopping, or increased sexual urges.
- Tell your doctor if you experience periods of overactivity, elevated mood, or irritability (symptoms of mania).
- Tell your doctor if you start or stop smoking during treatment, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter ones.
- Do not stop taking Requip Depot suddenly without talking to your doctor, as your Parkinson's symptoms could get much worse, and it could lead to serious health risks.
