Reminyl is a medicine used to treat mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease by helping your brain work better.
Start with a small dose, usually 8 mg once daily. Your doctor may slowly increase your dose over several weeks.
Swallow the capsules whole with water or another liquid, preferably with food, in the morning. Do not chew or crush them. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
The maximum daily dose is 24 mg, taken once a day.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Increases the risk of cardiac conduction disorders, such as bradycardia. May exacerbate existing COPD. Consider adverse effects affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions. Avoid concomitant use of anticholinergic medicines. (updated 18.3.2024)
