Rehydron Optim
This medicine helps treat mild to moderate dehydration caused by acute diarrhea by replacing lost water and salts, and it can also prevent dehydration.

How to Use
Dosage
For dehydration: 50–100 ml per kg body weight over four hours. For preventing dehydration or for maintenance: for children under 10 kg, give 0.5–1 dl after each loose stool; for children over 10 kg and adults, give 1–2 dl after each loose stool.
Method
Mix one sachet of Rehydron Optim powder with 0.5 liters of lukewarm water. The solution is then ready to use. Do not mix with other liquids. Take the solution by mouth.
Important
Do not exceed recommended doses without a doctor's advice. Treatment should stop when diarrhea stops, usually not more than 3–4 days.
Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Vomiting (especially if taken too quickly)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Do not use if you have severe dehydration, are unconscious, in shock, have an intestinal obstruction, or severe vomiting.
- Contact a doctor if diarrhea lasts more than 2 days, there is blood in your stool, you have a high fever (over 39 °C), or severe abdominal pain.
- For infants, always contact a doctor in cases of diarrhea or dehydration.
