How to Use

Dosage

Take one 1 mg tablet by mouth once a day.

Method

You can take this medicine with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one 1 mg tablet, as recommended by your doctor.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to rasagiline or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver problems.
  • Do not take this medicine with certain other medicines, such as MAO inhibitors (for depression or Parkinson's) or strong pain relievers like pethidine. Wait at least 14 days after stopping Rasagiline Accord before starting these other medicines.
  • Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual skin changes, as this medicine might increase the risk of skin cancer.
  • Tell your doctor if you start acting unusually or cannot resist urges to do things that could harm you or others, such as gambling, excessive spending, or increased sexual urges.

  • This medicine can make you feel sleepy or fall asleep suddenly, especially if you take other Parkinson's medicines. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience this.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine with certain antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic/tetracyclic), the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, the cough medicine dextromethorphan, or decongestants/cold medicines containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, as its effects on pregnancy and the unborn baby are not known.
