How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 1 mg Rasagilin Stada tablet by mouth once a day.

Method

You can take Rasagilin Stada with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one 1 mg tablet per day.

  • Abnormal blood test results (low white blood cells)
  • Joint pain (arthralgia)
  • Muscle and bone pain
  • Arthritis (joint inflammation)
  • Numbness and muscle weakness in the hand (carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Weight loss
  • Abnormal dreams
  • Unsteadiness (balance disorder)
  • Depression
  • Dizziness (vertigo)
  • Prolonged muscle contractions (dystonia)
  • Runny nose (rhinitis)
  • Skin irritation (dermatitis)
  • Rash
  • Red eyes (conjunctivitis)
  • Urgent need to urinate
RARE
  • Stroke (cerebrovascular event)
  • Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
  • Blistering rash

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to rasagiline or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease.
  • Do not take with certain antidepressants (MAO inhibitors) or strong pain relievers (pethidine); wait at least 14 days after stopping Rasagilin Stada before starting these.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have any liver problems, even mild ones.
  • Report any suspicious skin changes to your doctor.

  • Tell your doctor if you or your family notice unusual behaviors, such as strong urges for gambling, shopping, or increased sexual thoughts.
  • This medicine can cause sleepiness or sudden sleep attacks, especially if you take other Parkinson's drugs; do not drive or use machines if you experience this.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. Adverse effects include orthostatic hypotension, hallucinations, confusion, dyskinesia, headache, dizziness and bradycardia. Do not use together with other serotonergic preparations. (updated 6.10.2025)
