How to Use

Dosage

Take Rameam once a day.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with liquid, at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not take with grapefruit juice.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed for a single day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache, dizziness, feeling tired or sleepy
  • Swelling in your ankles, arms, or legs
  • Feeling your heartbeat (palpitations), flushing
  • Stomach pain, feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting), diarrhea, constipation
  • Dry cough, sore throat, or breathing difficulties
  • Skin rash, itching, or strange skin feelings like tingling or numbness
  • Muscle cramps or pain, joint pain
  • Blurred vision or double vision
  • Increased sweating or needing to urinate more often
  • Loss of appetite or changes in taste
  • Mood changes, anxiety, depression, or trouble sleeping
RARE
  • Severe skin reactions like peeling, blistering, or a red, lumpy rash
  • Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice), or severe stomach pain (sign of pancreas problems)
  • Nerve problems, causing weakness, tingling, or numbness
  • Confusion, memory problems, or slow reactions
  • Bruising or bleeding easily (due to low blood cells or platelets)
  • Increased sensitivity to sunlight
  • Stiffness, shaking, or problems with movement (like Parkinson's disease symptoms)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to ramipril, amlodipine, other similar medicines (ACE inhibitors or calcium channel blockers), or any other ingredients in Rameam.
  • Stop taking Rameam and get medical help right away if you experience severe allergic reactions like swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can make it hard to swallow or breathe.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant (especially during the last 6 months) or planning pregnancy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have very low or unstable blood pressure.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine called aliskiren.

  • Do not take if you have heart failure after a heart attack.
  • Do not take if you are currently taking sacubitril/valsartan for heart failure, as it increases the risk of severe swelling.
  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
  • Alcohol can make you dizzy or lightheaded while on this medicine.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness, tiredness, or headaches, which may affect your ability to drive or use machines. If this happens, do not drive or use machines and contact your doctor.
