How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will prescribe the correct dose for you, which is taken once daily.

Method

Take the capsule by mouth, whole with liquid, at the same time each day, with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor prescribes (usually once daily).

  • Heartburn or dry mouth
  • Increased sweating
  • Loss of appetite
  • Fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Swollen arms or legs
  • Blurred vision
  • Joint pain
  • Fever
  • Reduced sexual desire or impotence
  • Weight gain or loss
  • Skin peeling or flaking, or nail problems (e.g., loose nails)
  • Hearing problems or ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Weakness
  • Lower blood cell counts (red, white, or platelets), or high blood sugar
  • Swollen gums
  • Liver inflammation (jaundice, yellowing skin/eyes)
  • Increased muscle tension or movement disorders
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Tremors or confusion

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Rameam if you are allergic to ramipril, amlodipine, or other similar blood pressure medicines.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you get a severe allergic reaction like swelling of your face, lips, or throat, making it hard to swallow or breathe.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Discuss with your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice with this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems.
