How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will start you on a low dose, usually 1 Qsiva 3.75 mg/23 mg capsule once a day for 14 days, then typically 1 Qsiva 7.5 mg/46 mg capsule once a day.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with a glass of water or another sugar-free drink in the morning. Do not crush or chew them. You can take them with or without food.

Important

The highest recommended dose is 1 Qsiva 15 mg/92 mg capsule once daily.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Qsiva if you are pregnant or could become pregnant and are not using highly effective birth control, as it can harm an unborn baby.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you experience unusual mood changes, depression, anxiety, or thoughts of self-harm, as Qsiva can worsen these conditions.
  • Qsiva can make your heart beat faster. Your doctor will regularly check your pulse. Tell your doctor if your heart feels like it's beating fast at rest.
  • If you suddenly have blurred vision or eye pain, stop taking Qsiva and see a doctor right away, as these could be signs of serious eye problems.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Qsiva, as it can increase the risk of side effects.
