How to Use

Dosage

The typical dose for adults is 40-200 MBq; for children and adolescents, the dose is based on weight.

Method

This medicine is given as a single injection into a vein.

Important

The dose is carefully determined by your doctor, so an overdose is not possible.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Hives
  • Chills
  • Fever
  • Nausea
  • Facial flushing and sweating
  • Heart and circulation problems (like changes in breathing, pulse, and blood pressure, or collapse)
  • Redness, swelling, and itching at the injection site
  • Severe allergic reactions, including shock that can be life-threatening

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to human albumin or any other ingredient in Pulmocis.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have very high blood pressure in your lung arteries (severe pulmonary hypertension).
  • Drink plenty of water before the examination and for about 12 hours afterwards. This helps to remove the medicine from your body.
  • For 12 hours after the injection, avoid close contact with small children and pregnant women.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have kidney or liver problems, or high blood pressure in your lungs or breathing difficulties.
