How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you your correct dose.

Method

Breathe the medicine in through the mouthpiece. Rinse your mouth with water after each use to help prevent fungal infections.

Important

Do not change your dose without your doctor's permission; always follow your doctor's instructions.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mild throat irritation
  • Cough
  • Fungal infection in the mouth and throat
  • Pneumonia (in COPD patients), with symptoms such as fever, chills, increased mucus, changes in mucus color, increased cough, or increased difficulty breathing
RARE
  • Cataract
  • Blurred vision
  • Muscle cramps
  • Tremor
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bruising
  • Hypersensitivity (including rash)
  • Restlessness, nervousness, behavioral problems (especially in children)
  • Tightening of airways caused by inhaled medicine
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Voice problems or hoarseness
  • Effects from the medicine affecting the whole body (e.g., adrenal gland problems, slowed growth in children)
  • Sleep problems, increased activity, aggression
  • Glaucoma (high pressure in the eye)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to budesonide.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had unusual reactions to budesonide or other medicines before.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had an infection.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had lung tuberculosis.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision problems.
  • The doctor will regularly check the growth of children using this medicine long-term.
