Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Mild throat irritation
- •Coughing
- •Fungal infection in the mouth and throat
- •Pneumonia (in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
RARE
- •Cataracts
- •Blurred vision
- •Muscle cramps
- •Tremors
- •Anxiety
- •Depression
- •Bruising
- •Hypersensitivity including rash
- •Restlessness, nervousness, behavioral disorders (especially in children)
- •Inhaled medicines may cause narrowing of the airways
- •Serious allergic reactions
- •Dysphonia (speech difficulties)
- •Hoarseness
- •Signs and symptoms of systemic effects of corticosteroids, such as decreased adrenal function and slowed growth in children
Important Warnings
- Talk to your doctor before using Pulmicort Turbuhaler if you have liver disease, tuberculosis, or a fungal or viral infection in your airways.
- Contact a doctor if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
