How to Use

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mild throat irritation
  • Coughing
  • Fungal infection in the mouth and throat
  • Pneumonia (in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
RARE
  • Cataracts
  • Blurred vision
  • Muscle cramps
  • Tremors
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bruising
  • Hypersensitivity including rash
  • Restlessness, nervousness, behavioral disorders (especially in children)
  • Inhaled medicines may cause narrowing of the airways
  • Serious allergic reactions
  • Dysphonia (speech difficulties)
  • Hoarseness
  • Signs and symptoms of systemic effects of corticosteroids, such as decreased adrenal function and slowed growth in children

Important Warnings

  • Talk to your doctor before using Pulmicort Turbuhaler if you have liver disease, tuberculosis, or a fungal or viral infection in your airways.
  • Contact a doctor if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
