How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will prescribe your individual dose. Always use as instructed by your doctor.

Method

Inhale the medicine deeply through the mouthpiece of the device. Rinse your mouth with water after each use.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose without consulting your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mild throat irritation
  • Coughing
  • Fungal infection in the mouth and throat
  • Lung infection (pneumonia) in COPD patients, which may present as fever, chills, increased or discolored mucus, increased coughing, or difficulty breathing.
RARE
  • Cataract
  • Blurred vision
  • Muscle cramps
  • Tremors
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bruises
  • Allergic reactions, such as skin rash
  • Restlessness, nervousness, or behavior problems (especially in children)
  • Bronchospasm (asthma-like attack)
  • Hoarseness or voice changes
  • Weakened adrenal gland function and slowed growth in children with long-term use
  • Sleep problems, hyperactivity, or aggression
  • Glaucoma (eye pressure disease)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to budesonide (the active ingredient).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have had unusual reactions to budesonide or other medicines.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had an infection.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had lung tuberculosis.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision problems.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before use.
