Prucalopride is a medicine that helps adults with chronic constipation by making their bowel muscles work better, especially when other laxatives haven't helped enough.
Usually, take one 2 mg tablet once a day. For those over 65 or with severe liver disease, start with one 1 mg tablet once a day, which can be increased to 2 mg if needed. For those with severe kidney disease, one 1 mg tablet once a day may be recommended.
Take this medicine every day for as long as your doctor tells you. You can take it with or without food, at any time of day.
Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed, as a higher dose will not improve the effect, and the maximum recommended daily dose is 2 mg.
