How to Use

Dosage

Most patients take one 2 mg tablet once a day. If you are over 65, have severe liver disease, or severe kidney disease, start with one 1 mg tablet once a day. Your doctor may increase the dose to 2 mg if needed.

Method

Take the tablet by mouth with water. You can take it with or without food, at any time of day.

Important

Do not take more than one 2 mg tablet per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to prucalopride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are on kidney dialysis.
  • Do not take if you have a hole or blockage in your bowel, severe bowel inflammation (like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis), or a very swollen colon.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are being treated for another serious health problem, such as lung, heart, nerve, or mental health issues, cancer, AIDS, or hormone problems.
