Important Warnings
- Do not use Prolastina if you are allergic to the active substance (alpha₁-proteinase inhibitor) or any other ingredient in the medicine.
- Do not use if you have a known deficiency of special immunoglobulins (IgA), as this can lead to severe allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock.
- Talk to your doctor if you have severe heart failure, as Prolastina may cause a temporary increase in blood volume.
- Stop smoking, as tobacco smoke can reduce the effectiveness of Prolastina in your lungs.
- This medicine is made from human blood or plasma. While measures are taken to prevent infections, there's still a small risk of transmitting infectious agents.
