How to Use

Dosage

Typical dosage is ½ tablet (5 mg) three times a day for 10 days, but your doctor will tell you the exact dose.

Method

Take the tablets whole with liquid.

Important

Do not take more than 20 mg (2 tablets) in a day, or as directed by your doctor.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to norethisterone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if you have or have had a heart attack, stroke, or conditions that are warning signs for these, or if you have several risk factors for blood clots.
  • Do not use if you have certain types of migraine with neurological symptoms (like vision problems or weakness).
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease, liver tumors, or cancers affected by sex hormones (like breast or genital cancers).

  • Do not use if you have Hepatitis C and are taking certain antiviral medicines (ombitasvir, paritaprevir, ritonavir combination, and dasabuvir).
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you notice signs of a blood clot (e.g., unexplained cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, severe headache, vision loss, or swelling in a leg).
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you develop jaundice (yellow skin or eyes).
