How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose, which is usually between 150 mg and 600 mg per day.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. You will take them either two or three times a day. If twice a day, take one in the morning and one in the evening. If three times a day, take one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 600 mg.

  • Dry, swollen, painful, irritated or watery eyes, reduced sharpness of vision
  • Heart problems (e.g., irregular heartbeat, fast heart rate, high or low blood pressure, heart failure)
  • Flushing or hot flashes
  • Breathing difficulties, dry or stuffy nose
  • Increased saliva, heartburn, numbness around mouth

  • Allergic reactions (with breathing difficulties or eye inflammation), severe skin reactions, jaundice (yellow skin/eyes), symptoms like Parkinson's disease (tremor, slow movement, muscle stiffness)
  • Liver failure, hepatitis (liver inflammation), drug dependence

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pregabalin or any of its ingredients.
  • Seek medical help immediately if you have swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a widespread rash.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor immediately if you get severe skin reactions like red patches, blisters, or peeling skin.
  • This medicine can make you dizzy and sleepy, which may increase the risk of falls, especially for older people, so be careful.
  • Tell your doctor right away if your vision changes, such as blurred vision or loss of sight.

  • If you have had heart disease, tell your doctor before taking this medicine, as it might cause heart failure.
  • If you notice you are urinating less, tell your doctor, as this medicine can affect your kidneys.
  • Contact a doctor immediately if you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide.
  • If you have trouble breathing or shallow breathing, tell your doctor immediately, especially if you are over 65 or have nerve or kidney problems.
  • This medicine can cause dependence; tell your doctor if you have had problems with alcohol or drugs in the past.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly; always talk to your doctor first to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if this medicine makes you dizzy, sleepy, or causes difficulty concentrating.
