How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much to take, usually between 150-600 mg per day.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Take them two or three times a day, as your doctor instructs, around the same times each day.

Important

Do not take more than 600 mg in one day unless your doctor tells you to.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness, sleepiness, headache.
  • Increased appetite.
  • Feeling good, confusion, disorientation, less interest in sex, irritability.
  • Trouble focusing, clumsiness, memory loss, forgetfulness, shaking, trouble speaking, tingling or numbness, feeling calm, drowsiness, trouble sleeping, tiredness, feeling unusual.
  • Blurry vision or seeing double.
  • Spinning sensation (vertigo), balance problems, falls.
  • Dry mouth, constipation, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, nausea, or a bloated stomach.
  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection.
  • Swelling, including in your arms and legs.
  • Feeling drunk or walking unusually.
  • Weight gain.
  • Muscle cramps, joint pain, back pain, or pain in arms and legs.
  • Sore throat.
RARE
  • Less appetite, weight loss, low or high blood sugar levels.
  • Depression, restlessness, mood swings, panic attacks, aggression.
  • Thoughts of harming yourself or suicide.
  • Trouble breathing, shallow breathing, dry or stuffy nose.
  • Sweating, rash, chills, fever, itching, hives.
  • Seizures.
  • Liver failure or liver inflammation (hepatitis).
  • Becoming dependent on the medicine.
  • Changes in smell, shaky vision, changes in how you see depth, bright vision, loss of vision, widened pupils, or crossed eyes.
  • Trouble swallowing.
  • Fluid in the belly or lungs.
  • Kidney failure, less urine, or inability to urinate.
  • Symptoms like Parkinson's disease, such as shaking, slow movement, and stiff muscles.

Important Warnings

  • If your face, lips, tongue, or throat swell, or you get a widespread rash, see a doctor right away.
  • Stop this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get severe skin rashes with red patches, blisters, or peeling skin.
  • This medicine can make you dizzy and sleepy, which could lead to falls, especially for older people. Be careful until you know how it affects you.
  • Tell your doctor right away if your vision blurs, you lose your vision, or notice any other changes to your eyesight.
  • If you have a heart problem, tell your doctor before taking this medicine, as it can worsen heart failure in some patients.

  • If you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide, contact your doctor right away.
  • Tell your doctor if you have constipation, especially if you get it often, as this medicine can cause digestive issues.
  • If you have ever misused alcohol or drugs, tell your doctor, as you might be more likely to become dependent on Pregabalin Krka.
  • If you get seizures, contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you have trouble breathing or shallow breaths, contact your doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. Note especially central nervous system adverse effects. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Addiction may develop. (updated 14.4.2025)
