How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose, usually between 150 mg and 600 mg per day.

Method

Take the capsules whole with water, either two or three times a day, as directed by your doctor. If twice daily, take once in the morning and once in the evening. If three times daily, take once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening, around the same times each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is usually 600 mg.

Important Warnings

  • This medicine can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which might make you fall, especially if you are elderly. Be careful until you know how the medicine affects you.
  • If you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide, contact your doctor right away.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly. Talk to your doctor first; they will tell you how to stop it slowly, usually over at least one week.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor says it's okay. Women who can get pregnant should use reliable birth control.
