How to Use

Dosage

The usual daily dose is between 150-600 mg, as prescribed by your doctor.

Method

Take Pregabalin 1A Farma capsules whole with water, either two or three times a day, at about the same time each day. If taking twice daily, take once in the morning and once in the evening. If taking three times daily, take once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening.

Important

Do not take more than 600 mg per day, as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Dizziness, drowsiness, headache
  • Increased appetite
  • Mood changes (feeling happy, confusion, irritability, decreased sex drive)
  • Concentration and memory problems (trouble concentrating, clumsiness, memory loss, trembling, speech difficulties, tingling, numbness, lethargy, sleeplessness, tiredness, feeling unusual)
  • Vision problems (blurred vision, double vision)
  • Balance issues (spinning sensation, balance problems, falls)
  • Digestive issues (dry mouth, constipation, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, nausea, bloated stomach)
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Swelling (general, including in arms and legs)
  • Feeling drunk, abnormal walking
  • Weight gain
  • Muscle and joint pain (muscle cramps, joint pain, back pain, limb pain)

RARE
  • Loss of appetite, weight loss, low or high blood sugar
  • More intense mood/mental changes (restlessness, depression, agitation, hallucinations, unusual dreams, panic attacks, aggression, increased sex drive, sexual dysfunction)
  • More severe vision changes (unusual eye movements, tunnel vision, flashes of light, shaky vision, depth perception changes, vision loss, dilated pupils, cross-eyes)
  • Heart problems (rhythm issues, fast heart rate, low/high blood pressure, heart failure, abnormal ECG)
  • Breathing problems (difficulty breathing, dry/blocked nose, snoring)
  • Severe skin and allergic reactions (flushing, hot flashes, sweating, rash, chills, fever, itching, hives, runny nose, nosebleeds, cough, severe rashes with blisters, peeling skin, ulcers, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, eye inflammation, yellow skin/eyes)
  • Urinary issues (difficulty/pain urinating, incontinence, urinary retention, kidney failure, reduced urine output, low white blood cell count)
  • Muscle and movement problems (muscle twitching, joint swelling, muscle stiffness, neck pain, slow/reduced movement, difficulty writing, Parkinson's-like symptoms like tremor, slow movement, stiffness)
  • Digestive issues (increased saliva, heartburn, numbness around mouth, pancreatitis, difficulty swallowing, fluid in abdomen)
  • Other physical symptoms (weakness, thirst, chest tightness, cold sweat, tight throat, swollen tongue, fluid in lungs, seizures, muscle damage, breast discharge/growth, painful periods, missed periods, cold hands/feet)
  • Liver problems (liver failure, hepatitis)
  • Suicidal thoughts or behavior

Important Warnings

  • If you get swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a widespread skin rash, contact your doctor immediately as these can be signs of a severe allergic reaction.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you notice any severe skin reactions, such as red spots, blisters, or skin peeling, as these can be very serious.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which may lead to falls, especially in older people. Be careful until you know how the medicine affects you.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you experience blurred vision, loss of vision, or any other changes in your eyesight.
  • If you have heart problems, tell your doctor before taking this medicine, as it can cause heart failure in some patients.

  • This medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor tells you to, as it can cause birth defects in the first three months of pregnancy.
