How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is between 150 mg and 600 mg per day.

Method

Take the capsules exactly as your doctor prescribed, either two or three times a day. Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 600 mg.

  • Severe allergic reactions that may include difficulty breathing, eye inflammation, and severe skin reactions like red, flat, ring-shaped or round patches with blisters; peeling skin; sores in the mouth, throat, nose, genitals, and eyes. These severe rashes might be preceded by fever and flu-like symptoms.
  • Yellow skin and eyes (jaundice)
  • Parkinsonism (symptoms like Parkinson's disease), such as trembling, slow movement, and stiff muscles
  • Liver failure
  • Hepatitis (liver inflammation)
  • Developing dependence on pregabalin (drug dependence)
  • Breathing difficulties, shallow breathing

Important Warnings

  • If you get allergic reactions like swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a widespread rash, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Stop taking the medicine and see a doctor immediately if you notice severe skin reactions, such as widespread blisters or peeling skin (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
  • This medicine can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which may increase the risk of falls, especially in older patients. Be careful until you know how it affects you.
  • If your vision becomes blurry, changes, or you lose vision, tell your doctor right away. These changes are often temporary.
  • Weight gain might require changes to diabetes medication for some diabetic patients.

  • Tell your doctor if you have ever misused alcohol, prescription medicines, or drugs, as you may have a higher risk of becoming dependent on this medicine.
  • If you experience seizures while taking this medicine or soon after stopping it, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had serious medical conditions like liver or kidney disease, as some patients have reported impaired brain function.
  • If you have a nervous system or respiratory disease, kidney problems, or are over 65 years old, and experience breathing difficulties, contact your doctor.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without your doctor's advice, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms.
