Pramipexole Orion helps control body movements by stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, used to treat Parkinson's disease symptoms in adults.
Start with 0.26 mg once daily for the first week. Your doctor will slowly increase the dose every 5-7 days until your symptoms are controlled. The usual maintenance dose is 1.05 mg daily, but it can be adjusted from 0.26 mg up to 3.15 mg daily if needed.
Take one tablet once a day, around the same time each day. You can take it with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet, as this can lead to an overdose.
The maximum daily dose is 3.15 mg of pramipexole.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Common adverse effects include orthostatic hypotension, confusion, sudden episodes of deep sleep, impulse control disorders and lower limb edema.. . (updated 6.10.2025)
