How to Use

Dosage

Typically, you start with 0.26 mg once daily for the first week, and the dose is gradually increased by your doctor until your symptoms are controlled. A common maintenance dose is 1.05 mg daily.

Method

Take Pramipexol Stada once daily at about the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, break, or crush the prolonged-release tablets as this could lead to an overdose.

Important

Your doctor may increase your dose up to a maximum of 3.15 mg of pramipexol per day if needed.

  • Restlessness

  • Hiccups
  • Pneumonia (lung inflammation)
  • Uncontrollable urges to act in harmful ways (e.g., strong urge to gamble, overeating, compulsive shopping, increased sexual urges)
  • Delirium (severe confusion, decreased awareness of surroundings)
  • Mania (feeling agitated, overly happy, or overexcited)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pramipexol or any other ingredients.
  • This medicine can cause you to see, hear, or feel things that are not real (hallucinations). If this happens, do not drive or use machines.
  • You may feel very sleepy or fall asleep suddenly, especially if you have Parkinson's disease. If you experience this, do not drive or use machines and tell your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor if you or your family notice you have strong urges to behave in unusual ways that could harm yourself or others, such as gambling, overeating, or increased sexual urges. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or stop the medicine.
  • Do not stop taking Pramipexol Stada suddenly without talking to your doctor, as this can worsen your symptoms or cause other serious issues.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
