How to Use

Dosage

You typically start with 0.26 mg once daily. Your doctor will gradually increase the dose every 5-7 days until your symptoms are controlled. The usual daily dose is 1.05 mg, but it can be increased up to a maximum of 3.15 mg per day.

Method

Take one tablet once a day, around the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet, as this can lead to an overdose.

  • restlessness

  • pneumonia (lung inflammation)
  • delirium (decreased consciousness, confusion, loss of reality)
  • mania (agitation, elevated mood, over-excitement)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pramipexole or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • You might see or hear things that are not real (hallucinations), mostly seeing things. If this happens, do not drive or use machines.
  • You may feel very sleepy during the day or suddenly fall asleep. If this happens, do not drive or use machines and tell your doctor.
  • If you experience strong urges to gamble, overeat, spend excessively, or have increased sexual urges, tell your doctor. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.

  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor, as it can worsen your symptoms or cause withdrawal effects like depression, anxiety, or fatigue.
  • Be careful with alcohol and other medicines that make you sleepy, as they can increase drowsiness and affect your ability to drive or use machines.
  • Do not chew, break, or crush the tablets. Swallow them whole to ensure the medicine is released slowly and to avoid an overdose.
