How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet as soon as possible after unprotected sex, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours (3 days).

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew it.

Important

Postinor is for emergency use only, not as a regular birth control method, and it is not recommended to use it more than once in the same menstrual cycle.

RARE
  • Rash, hives, itching
  • Swelling of the face
  • Pelvic pain
  • Painful periods
  • Abdominal pain

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to levonorgestrel or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are already pregnant or think you might be, as this medicine will not stop an existing pregnancy.
  • Talk to a doctor before use if you have a bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease), severe liver problems, a history of ectopic pregnancy, or fallopian tube inflammation.
  • This medicine is not for use before your first menstrual period.
