Posiforlid is an eye ointment that disinfects, shrinks tissues, and reduces secretions, used for chronic eyelid margin inflammations not caused by bacteria.

How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children aged 6 years and older, apply a strip of eye ointment about 0.5 cm long into the conjunctival sac 3-5 times daily.

Method

Wash your hands. Tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid away from the eye, and squeeze the tube lightly to place a small strip of ointment into the pocket between your eyeball and lower eyelid. Close your eyes slowly. Avoid touching the tube tip to your eye or skin.

Important

Maximum 5 times daily. For children, the maximum treatment duration is 10 days.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Irritation of eyes and eyelids, such as itching, swelling, pain, red eyes, burning sensation, watery eyes.
  • Hypersensitivity, allergy (e.g., facial swelling, facial redness) to bibrocathol.
  • Skin redness, itching, rash.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to bibrocathol or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Wool fat (lanolin) may cause local skin reactions, such as contact dermatitis.
  • Do not wear contact lenses while using Posiforlid.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
  • This eye ointment may temporarily blur your vision, so do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear again.

  • If symptoms persist or worsen after seven days, contact your doctor.
  • Avoid long-term use without medical supervision.
  • If you use other eye drops or ointments, wait about 1 hour between applications. Always apply Posiforlid last.
