How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 4 mg once daily.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with water. You can take it with or without food. Take your medicine at about the same time each day.

The maximum dose is usually 4 mg per day.

Possible Side Effects

  • Shortness of breath

  • Low blood pressure (can cause dizziness or fainting)
  • Mouth pain or dry mouth

Important Warnings

  • This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby. Do not take it if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or plan to get pregnant. You must use reliable birth control during and after treatment.
  • This medicine can increase your risk of blood clots. Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots before or if you notice symptoms like pain or swelling in your legs.
  • If you get a severe rash, fever, swelling, or difficulty breathing, stop taking the medicine and get medical help right away.
  • Do not break, open, or chew the capsules. If powder touches your skin, wash it immediately with soap and water. Healthcare workers and caregivers should wear gloves.
  • You must not donate blood or sperm during treatment and for 7 days after treatment.
