How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is one 5 mg tablet once a day. Your doctor may change your dose.

Method

Take the tablet in the morning with water. Do not split, crush, or chew it. You can take it with or without a light, low-fat meal.

Important

The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg once per day.

  • Impotence or sexual dysfunction
  • Gum inflammation (swollen gums)
  • Increased liver enzyme levels
  • Skin reactions due to increased sensitivity to sunlight
  • Inflammation of small blood vessels in the skin
  • Frequent urination
  • Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., fever or swelling of lips and tongue)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Plendil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant or plan to breastfeed.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to felodipine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have certain heart conditions, such as uncontrolled heart failure, a recent heart attack, or severe chest pain.
  • This medicine can rarely cause very low blood pressure, with symptoms like dizziness and chest pain. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience these.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems.

  • Do not drink grapefruit juice during treatment, as it can increase the medicine's effect and side effects.
  • Not recommended for children.
  • Be careful when driving or operating machinery, especially at the start of treatment, as this medicine can cause headache, dizziness, or tiredness.
