How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 5 mg once a day; for long-term treatment, the dose is typically 5-10 mg once a day.

Method

Take the tablet in the morning with water. Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet. You can take it with or without a light, low-fat meal.

Important

The maximum daily dose is usually 10 mg once a day.

  • Skin reactions due to increased sensitivity to sunlight
  • Inflammation of small blood vessels in the skin
  • Frequent urination
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., fever, swelling of lips or tongue)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to felodipine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have uncontrolled heart failure, recently had a heart attack, or experience severe, long-lasting chest pain.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have liver problems or a heart valve or heart muscle disease.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can increase its effects and side effects.

  • Be careful when driving or using machines, especially when starting treatment, as this medicine can cause dizziness or tiredness.
  • Maintain good oral hygiene to help prevent gum swelling, which can be a side effect.
  • If you feel very dizzy, faint, or have chest pain (signs of very low blood pressure), seek medical help right away.

Category A
