Piperacillin/Tazobactam Sandoz is an antibiotic that helps fight various bacterial infections in adults and children, including those caused by bacteria that are usually hard to treat.
The typical dose for adults and children over 12 is 4 g/0.5 g every 6-8 hours. For children aged 2-12, the dose is based on their weight and given every 6 or 8 hours.
A doctor or nurse will give you this medicine as a drip into a vein (infusion) over 30 minutes.
The maximum daily dose for adults and children is generally 16 g of piperacillin and 2 g of tazobactam.
