Persantin helps prevent blood clots by making platelets less sticky and by widening blood vessels.
The recommended dose for adults is 75 mg-150 mg, three times a day.
Take the tablets with plenty of liquid, preferably before meals.
The maximum daily dose is 450 mg.
Avoid use in older adults. Consider potential adverse effects, such as orthostatism and dizziness. The effectiveness of the drug alone without acetylsalicylic acid is modest. (updated 19.9.2025)
