How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the right dose, usually one tablet a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably in the morning before food and at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

  • Swelling (fluid buildup in the body)

  • Dizziness, feeling sleepy (especially when you first start taking the medicine)
  • Spinning sensation (vertigo)
  • Numbness or tingling in your hands or feet
  • Vision problems (including double vision)
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Feeling your heartbeat (palpitations)
  • Flushing
  • Feeling confused due to low blood pressure
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Stomach pain
  • Changes in taste
  • Indigestion or upset stomach
  • Changes in bowel habits (diarrhea or constipation)
  • Allergic reactions (like rashes or itching)
  • Muscle cramps
  • Tiredness, weakness
  • Swelling of the ankles

  • Mood changes
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trouble sleeping or sleep problems
  • Shaking (tremor)
  • Fainting
  • Loss of pain sensation

  • Blisters on the skin
  • Kidney problems
  • Impotence
  • More sweating than usual
  • More eosinophils (a type of white blood cell)
  • Breast discomfort or breast growth in men
  • Weight gain or loss
  • Fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
  • Blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis)
  • Sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity reaction)
  • Fever
  • Falling
  • Changes in blood tests (high potassium, low sodium, very low blood sugar in diabetics, high urea and creatinine)
  • Sudden kidney failure
  • Symptoms like dark urine, feeling sick, throwing up, muscle cramps, feeling confused, seizures, or peeing less than usual
  • Worsening of psoriasis
  • Liver inflammation, increased liver enzymes, high bilirubin
  • Severe heart problems (chest pain, heart attack, and stroke)
  • Eosinophilic pneumonia (a rare lung inflammation)
  • Severe skin reactions (like bad rashes, hives, red skin all over, severe itching, blisters, peeling skin, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, erythema multiforme)
  • Changes in blood counts (fewer white and red blood cells, low hemoglobin, fewer platelets)
  • Pancreatitis (severe stomach and back pain, feeling very sick)
  • Liver damage (yellow skin/eyes, liver inflammation, high liver enzymes)
  • Swelling of the stomach (gastritis)
  • Nerve problems (weakness, tingling, or numbness)
  • Stiff muscles
  • Swollen gums
  • Too much sugar in the blood (high blood sugar)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, or any similar medicines (ACE inhibitors or calcium channel blockers), or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant; it should also be avoided during early pregnancy.
  • Do not take if you have a history of severe allergic reactions (angioedema), such as swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, or trouble breathing, especially if related to ACE inhibitors.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren.
  • Do not take if you have very low blood pressure.

  • If you get sudden severe swelling in your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or have trouble swallowing or breathing (angioedema), stop taking the medicine right away and contact your doctor.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit while taking this medicine, as it can change how the medicine works.
  • This medicine can cause nausea, dizziness, weakness, tiredness, or headache. If you feel these effects, do not drive or operate machines.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
