How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your correct dose. Usually, it's one tablet per day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day, in the morning before a meal.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day unless your doctor tells you to.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention in the body), especially in ankles
  • Headache
  • Dizziness, feeling sleepy or tired
  • Numbness or tingling in arms or legs
  • Vision problems (e.g., seeing double)
  • Ringing in ears (tinnitus)
  • Feeling your heart beat fast (palpitations)
  • Flushing (redness of face and neck)
  • Cough, shortness of breath
  • Nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, stomach pain
  • Indigestion or upset stomach
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Mild allergic reactions like rash or itching
  • Muscle cramps
RARE
  • Serious allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, leading to breathing problems (angioedema)
  • Severe skin reactions like widespread rash, peeling skin, or blisters
  • Chest pain, heart attack, or stroke
  • Inflammation of the pancreas, causing severe stomach pain
  • Liver problems causing yellow skin or eyes (jaundice)
  • Mood changes, anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping, confusion
  • Kidney problems, reduced urination
  • Extreme dizziness or fainting
  • Increased sweating
  • Hair loss
  • Sensitivity to light (sunburns easily)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, other ACE inhibitors, or calcium channel blockers.
  • Do not take if you are more than 3 months pregnant. It is also best to avoid this medicine during early pregnancy.
  • Do not take if you have ever had severe allergic reactions (like swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, or difficulty breathing) with ACE inhibitors, or if you or your family have had these reactions.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking another blood pressure medicine called aliskiren.
  • Do not take if you have a narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis) or cardiogenic shock (a condition where your heart can't pump enough blood).

  • Do not take if you have very low blood pressure.
  • Do not take if you have heart failure after a heart attack.
  • Do not take if you are on dialysis or other blood filtering treatments, as this medicine might not be suitable for you.
  • Do not take if you have kidney problems with reduced blood flow to your kidneys (renal artery stenosis).
  • Do not take if you are taking or have recently taken sacubitril/valsartan for chronic heart failure, as it increases the risk of serious swelling (angioedema).
  • If you experience swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or have difficulty breathing, stop taking this medicine immediately and see a doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
