Perindopril Orion helps widen blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood, and is used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, and to reduce the risk of heart problems.
The usual starting dose is 2 mg or 4 mg once a day, depending on your condition and age. Your doctor will adjust the dose for you.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day, in the morning before breakfast.
The maximum daily dose is 8 mg for high blood pressure and stable coronary artery disease, and 4 mg for heart failure.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
