How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the right dose. It's typically 4 mg once daily, but it can be adjusted from 2 mg to 8 mg depending on your condition.

Method

Take the tablet with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each morning before breakfast.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor prescribes, typically up to 8 mg daily.

  • Worsening psoriasis

  • Reduced or no urine output
  • Flushing
  • Rare lung inflammation
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Changes in blood cell counts (low white/red cells, hemoglobin, platelets)
  • Raynaud's phenomenon (cold, numb, or painful fingers/toes)

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you get swelling of your face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, or have trouble breathing or swallowing.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, especially after the first three months, as it can harm your baby.
  • Contact your doctor if you feel very dizzy or faint, especially after the first dose or after your dose is increased.
  • Tell your doctor if you get a fever, sore throat, or mouth sores, as these could be signs of a serious infection.
  • Inform your doctor if your skin or eyes turn yellow (jaundice), which can be a sign of liver problems.

  • A persistent dry cough may occur. Tell your doctor if you develop one.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are taking medications containing aliskiren (for diabetes/kidney problems) or a combination of sacubitril/valsartan (for heart failure) due to increased risks.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
