How to Use

Dosage

The doctor will determine the dose based on the child's weight.

Method

Peditrace is given as an infusion into a vein over at least 8 hours.

Important

The maximum daily dose is determined by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Redness or swelling along a vein where the infusion was given (superficial thrombophlebitis).
RARE
  • Allergic reaction due to iodine, if the medicine gets on the skin.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Peditrace if you have Wilson's disease (a disorder of copper metabolism).
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have problems with bile secretion.
  • Always tell your doctor or nurse about all other medicines you are taking, including those without a prescription.
