How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 800 mg (four 200 mg tablets or two 400 mg tablets) once a day.

Method

Take the tablets whole with water, at least two hours after a meal or one hour before a meal. Do not split or crush them. Take the medicine at about the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 800 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • High blood pressure

  • Changes in taste or losing your sense of taste

  • Nosebleeds
  • Swelling in your face, hands, ankles, or feet
  • Tingling or numbness in your hands, arms, legs, or feet
RARE
  • Brain swelling (signs like trouble speaking, vision changes, fits, confusion, very high blood pressure)
  • Sudden, very high blood pressure (signs like bad chest pain, headache, blurry vision, confusion, feeling very sick, throwing up, shortness of breath, fits, fainting)
  • Heart problems, heart failure, or heart attack (signs like uneven or fast heartbeat, fainting, chest pain, shortness of breath, swollen legs)
  • Stroke (signs like numbness or weakness on one side of the body, trouble speaking, headache, dizziness)
  • Serious bleeding (e.g., blood in stool or urine, stomach pain, coughing up blood)
  • Holes in the stomach or bowel, or abnormal connections (fistulas) (signs like bad stomach pain, feeling sick/throwing up, fever)
  • Liver problems (signs like yellow skin/eyes, dark urine, tiredness, feeling sick, stomach pain on the right side, easy bruising)
  • Blood clots, especially in the legs (DVT) or lungs (pulmonary embolism) (signs like sharp chest pain, shortness of breath, fast breathing, leg pain, swelling in arms/hands or legs/feet)
  • Tumor lysis syndrome (rapid breakdown of cancer cells, signs like uneven heartbeat, fits, confusion, muscle cramps, less urine)
  • Lung inflammation (signs like shortness of breath or a cough that won't go away)
  • Blurred or decreased vision (due to problems with the back of the eye)
  • Serious infections (signs like fever, flu-like symptoms, trouble breathing, pain when peeing, red/warm/swollen/sore wounds)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Pazopanib Zentiva if you are allergic to pazopanib or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems, or if you have had heart failure or a heart attack.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had bleeding, blood clots, or blood vessel problems (like an aneurysm).
  • Tell your doctor if you have had stomach or bowel problems, such as a perforation (hole) or fistula (abnormal connection).
  • Tell your doctor if you have thyroid problems.

  • Your blood pressure will be checked regularly, as this medicine can raise it. Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure.
  • If you are scheduled for surgery, tell your doctor. Treatment is usually stopped 7 days before surgery.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice during treatment, as it can increase the risk of side effects.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after.
  • Avoid driving or using machines if you feel dizzy, tired, or weak.
