How to Use

Dosage

For adolescents over 16 years and adults (over 50 kg): take ½ to 1 tablet (500–1000 mg paracetamol) as a single dose.

Method

Swallow tablets whole with enough liquid. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Important

Do not take more than 3 tablets (3000 mg paracetamol) in 24 hours. There must be at least 6 hours between doses.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergies (e.g., rash, itching, hives, sweating).
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, breathing difficulties, low blood pressure, shock, anaphylaxis).
  • Severe skin reactions (e.g., redness, blisters, skin peeling).
  • Changes in blood cell counts (e.g., decreased platelets and white blood cells), which may increase infection risk or cause bruising and bleeding.
  • Liver damage, liver failure, jaundice.
  • Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Dizziness, headache, tremors, drowsiness, confusion, depression, hallucinations.
  • Kidney failure, cloudy urine, blood in urine, difficulty urinating, kidney inflammation.
  • Low blood sugar.
  • Shortness of breath, asthma-like narrowing of airways (in asthmatics).
  • Metabolic acidosis (increased blood acidity).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose. Too high doses can cause severe liver damage.
  • Do not take this medicine with alcohol, as it may increase the risk of liver damage.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have liver or kidney problems, or if you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol.
  • Contact a doctor if fever does not subside in 3 days, pain does not improve in 5 days, or if symptoms worsen.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
